Quick answer

What matters most

Step 1Exact location
Step 2Filter conditions
Step 3Read total + terms
Step 4Save voucher

1. Search the exact pickup point

Use the exact airport, city, port, resort or delivery area rather than assuming a destination name means airport pickup. Enter realistic arrival and return times.

2. Filter for the conditions you actually need

Transmission, no-deposit, no-credit-card, automatic, seat count and other filters can narrow the results, but always reopen the full terms of the selected car.

3. Compare the whole booking

Check final total, booking advance, security deposit, excess, insurance, mileage, fuel, driver age, licence rules, ferry permission, one-way charges and cancellation.

4. Confirm and pay the stated advance

Complete the reservation through the booking service. A partial online advance can be required; the remaining balance and deposit are separate items.

5. Save the voucher

The voucher identifies the supplier and provides the exact pickup instructions, contact details and booking reference. Use those details for delays, changes and on-site coordination.

FAQ

Common questions

When is my car rental confirmed?

Confirmation occurs when the booking service accepts the reservation and issues a confirmation/voucher. A search result alone is not a confirmed booking.

Where do I find pickup instructions?

The voucher/confirmation contains the supplier contact and exact handover instructions.

What should I check before paying?

Final total, deposit, payment method, excess, insurance, mileage, fuel policy, driver requirements, pickup method and cancellation terms.

What if my flight is delayed?

Follow the supplier contact and delay procedure in the voucher. Add the flight number when requested during booking.

Save the confirmed version of the trip

After payment, check the voucher against the intended dates, times, location and driver details. Keep the supplier’s meeting instructions with the payment receipt. If a detail is wrong, request a correction before travelling rather than assuming the pickup agent can amend the price or location. The vehicle card on a general guide is not the reservation: the offer and confirmation identify the actual category, payment schedule and collection arrangement.
