Why the booking country is not enough
A rental booked in Greece is normally priced and insured for the permitted territory stated in the agreement. Crossing into Albania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Turkey or another country can require advance approval or can be prohibited entirely.
Ask before paying
If cross-border travel is central to the trip, confirm the exact country, border dates and return plan before committing to a non-refundable rate. Ask what documents and insurance proof the supplier provides.
Ferries and borders are separate
Permission to cross an international border does not automatically allow ferry travel, and ferry permission does not imply cross-border permission. Treat them as separate rental conditions.
