A seaside stay on the airport side of the city

Perea lies on the coastal side of the airport area and makes a different arrival plan from central Thessaloniki. Set your accommodation’s street address, then follow the signed local route toward Perea. Do not automatically drive into the city centre first. Confirm the final access road if the property is on or close to the pedestrian waterfront.

Choose parking before choosing a seafront stop

In warm weather, beach traffic and evening visitors can make the waterfront busy. Arrange a legal parking place, unload at an agreed point and walk the final stretch if required. A mini or compact is convenient for a couple; select by luggage capacity if you are travelling as a family. The normal paved approach does not require a four-wheel-drive vehicle.

Keep local outings separate from airport timing

Use Perea as a base for a coastal walk or a meal after luggage has been stored. Refuel at a suitable station on the return route, keeping the fuel receipt if the supplier asks for one. Seasonal boat services or excursions should be checked separately rather than assumed to provide a vehicle connection. For a flight departure, include the car inspection and any transfer from a rental office in addition to the drive itself.
